Birth parents and adoptive parents meet, and continue having ongoing contact, such as letters and pictures. Communication is usually conducted through the adoption agency. Families may decide not to share some information, such as last names and home addresses.
FAMILY ADOPTION
Birth parents choose a relative to be their child’s adoptive parents.
CLOSED ADOPTION
Birth parents choose adoption, but do not have contact with the adoptive parents.
